Thank you for your interest in the children in our community.

By contributing to Child Development Institute today you are investing in children right from the start, investing in what they need to grow and further develop as healthy contributing members to our society. Our service model builds community capacity with children as the catalyst for change. Investing in high quality early child development programs supports individuals who flourish into leading more enriched lives, and this produces a long-lasting benefit to our communities. With CDI’s holistic approach and collective community model, families and children will receive three essential levels of care — promotion, prevention and intervention – creating a single point of access of care while giving our most vulnerable population an opportunity to thrive.

CDI is a 501c (3) non-profit organization. Every donation is fully 100% tax deductible. Our tax ID# is 95-4545540

Welcome and thank you for your desire to support the Child Development Institute and its expansive vision. Since 1995, the Child Development Institute has relied on a combination of dedicated individual donations, foundation and corporate sponsorships to build an organization focused on strengthening families and communities in the San Fernando Valley.

With your generous support, we can continue to find creative solutions to ensure that each child will have the opportunities they need to flourish in school, at home and throughout their lifetime.  Together, we can safeguard our most vulnerable children for generations to come.  Will you partner with us and consider making a monthly or one-time gift today?

As stewards of Child Development Institute, the CDI Board of Directors is committed to fulfilling strategic and fundraising goals that will allow all children in our community to thrive.  We are also deeply committed to nurturing and building the legacy of our mission for succeeding generations.

On this 25th Anniversary, we have much to celebrate – the agency has seen tremendous growth since its modest beginnings twenty-five years ago. Soon we will have another milestone to celebrate as we prepare to open the doors of the new Child Development Institute campus in Reseda.  At the new location, we will provide family support and Early Intervention services along with our free play-based learning in the Early Learning Center. We understand, now more than ever, the significance of giving children an opportunity to grow, learn and explore the world around them in a welcoming and safe space.

I am honored and humbled to serve as Board Chair at such an exciting time for the agency. There is so much more work to do, and I am confident that we will continue to surpass our goals. We are extremely grateful to be on this journey with the compassion and support of our community leaders and partners. I believe and practice the “Raise as You Rise” theory. Together, we can impact and raise up the lives of our most vulnerable children in our community.

I enjoy assisting with CDI’s fundraising efforts. My signature event is the back to school event where we provide medical screening for children. I enjoy seeing the kids’ faces and the parents as they receive services that they don’t ordinarily have access to. We have an audiologist, vision testing, clinics for additional services, pediatrician and a psychiatrist nurse at the event. When I hear about children who have miraculous stories, I am moved to continue financially supporting CDI and ensuring this organization thrives.
