Kimberly Fortuna, MA

Kimberly Fortuna holds a Masters of Art in Educational Psychology and Counseling, with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from California State University, Northridge. Kimberly is a school program supervisor who works collaboratively with the Los Angeles Unified School District to provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students with a variety of needs, and she supervises direct service providers using a reflective practice model. Kimberly also provides professional trainings in the areas of social-emotional development, challenging behaviors, trauma- informed care, sensory integration, strengthening families, developmental assessments, and building teacher capacities. Kim is also a consultant for different schools and organizations, helping teachers and staff better understand the needs of the children in their care, and to work collaboratively with parents to promote development across environments.

Kimberly is passionate about reaching out to community partners and schools to help them discover their potential for promoting change for children and families in the San Fernando Valley, as well as reaching out to parents who are the driving force behind their child’s growth, development, and life-long resiliency.
