Carey Mooney, MS, CCC-SLP
Carey Mooney is a Speech-Language-Pathologist (SLP) who works with children to facilitate communication. Carey is also a Speech Department supervisor, providing reflective individual and group supervision to other Speech Therapists, Speech Assistants, Speech Interns, and new graduates in the field. Carey holds a master’s degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from California State University, Northridge.
Carey believes that communication matters and that every child is capable of achieving speech and language skills to their full potential. She is experienced in working with children from birth to 15 years of age and specializes in early intervention, specifically with children diagnosed with Autism and Apraxia of Speech (AOS). Carey has specialized training in the PROMPT technique to facilitate communication with children diagnosed with AOS. Carey believes in the importance of play to facilitate speech and language skills and her passion for the field is evidenced by her relationships with children and their families.
