Ariel Bahner, LCSW
Ariel Bahner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that specializes in infant, early child and family mental health. She is especially passionate about the prenatal and post-partum time in family development that is the foundation of attunement and attachment. Ariel has worked with children of all ages and integrates a developmental lens into her work while recognizing the role that positive relationships play in supporting emotional health and wellbeing. She supports parents in reflecting upon their own early experiences and their role as parents, increasing their understanding of their child’s unique developmental needs, and the interplay of parent and child experiences. Ariel is devoted to supporting positive relationships through connection and play. Ariel completed her Masters in Social Work at California State University of Northridge.
Ariel coordinates the therapeutic groups, facilitates parent groups, provides individual and group reflective supervision, and supervises the HeadStart Mental Health Consultation program in coordination with the Child Care Resource Center. She has also expanded her skills through a variety of training including Reflective Supervision, Non-violent Communication and Parenting, Maternal Mental Health, and Internal Family Systems. She also collaborates with DCFS in the Young Children In Care workgroup.
